Born Vanessa Sabrina Gnaegi on 8th Decemeber, 1988 in Ipsach, Switzerland. She began playing the piano at the age of fourteen, being influenced by the old masters and only tow years later she was performing with he brother. She had various TV appearances in Switzerland and also had success in the Dominican Republic, where she appeared in many tv shows.
Her first album was released in 2009 ‘Vanessa G – The Boogie Woogie Lady’ with the following year 2010 seeing her perform at the Blues Festival Basel in Switzerland. 2014 saw Ladyva perform at several boogie woogie festivals and she was invited to perform at Jerry Lee Lewis 80th birthday tour at the London Palladium and Clyde Auditorium. 2016 saw her play at the Jazz Festival in Ascona and be nominated for ‘Best Boogie Woogie Pianist Of The Year’ at Boisdale. 2017 saw her perform at the Boogie Woogie Festival at La Roquebrou in France.
On septemebr 13th, 2017 she was nominated for ‘Best Boogie Woogie Pianist Of The Year’ at Boisdale yet again (hosted by Jools Holland), but this time she was awarded with it. Through out all the festivals and awards, she has continued to record with several albums now to her name, including a collaboration with Silvan Zingg ‘Beloved Boogie Woogie’
